Most students applying for undergraduate degrees do well in their 8th, 9th and 10th grades. However, if you are thinking of going overseas, you will also need to continue to excel in the 11th grade. Universities will base their admission decision on your academic standing from the 8th to the 11th grades. While most Universities, do not wait for the 12th grade results to award you an admission, they may stipulate that a first class is mandatory for your admissions.
As part of your application materials you need to provide the copies of your 8th, 9th and 10th marksheets, which have been attested by the university, sealed in an envelope with the university stamp across the flap. In addition, you will be required to send your 11th grade marksheet along with a transcript of the 11th and 12th grades.
A transcript is a document that certifies that you are a bonafide student of the college and are currently enrolled in the 12th grade. It provides details of the subjects you are enrolled for, the stipulated hours per week the subject has been taught for, the grades you secured against the maximum possible scores and an explanation of the grading system used by your college. The transcript must be typed on the college letterhead, attested in original by the college registrar and sealed in an envelope with the college stamp across the flap.
Most institutions now have standard formats, if not then we provide you with guidelines to prepare your academic history. |
