MBA Universities rarely offer financial aid based on need.  Hence, planning your finances, before you even apply, enables you to decide if you should even apply to the university.  If however, you feel you simply must apply to a university even though it’s beyond your financial budget - Do so.  Pause for a moment and evaluate, if you have a competitive edge – top scores on the GMAT, significant work experience, remarkable experiences, outstanding achievements or scholarship awards.  If you happen to be amongst the top candidates in the application pool, you might have a chance at winning a scholarship. Don’t forget to apply ahead of the stipulated deadline to have the best chance.  Also, with most Top MBA programs arranging student loans at a competitive rate, you could still consider applying to that university.
