All application documents need to be supplemented with an application form. There are two ways to send this form – online or downloadable. You need to use only one method of applying and NOT BOTH.
A majority of the universities prefer online applications because it is quicker and an easier way for them to enter you in their database. In fact, some universities may also have a reduced application fee, as compared to the fee charged for processing a downloadable application, to encourage you to file the application online. If you are filling your application online, in all likelihood, you would need an international credit card to pay the application fee. If you are downloading your application form, the fee payment is made via a Dollar Draft favoring the University and obtained from your local bank.
Filling an online application is much like an email account where you will have a password and username. Make a note of your Login ID and password, you will need this to access your form, save it, edit it until you are ready to submit it online. Once the application has been filled online, don’t forget to send the rest of your supporting documentation by courier.
Downloadable forms are also available from the university website and are often in pfd or word.doc formats. To download a PDF file you need to have the Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer. This free software is easily available on the net.
