Madhavi Desai Consulting is India’s first and leading education consulting firm. I started advising students in 1986 while pursuing my Master’s in Industrial Sociology and Management at Purdue University in America. I was astonished to find that students from India as well as several American born Indian students were unsure about why they had selected a particular University or program.  Often it was on the advice of just a relative or friend.  I realized how vulnerable students were to choosing inappropriate programs and Universities.  What made it worse was that many had also not received financial aid due to lack of awareness.  Students from India also struggled with the application process itself, due to lack of information, infrastructure and inadequate personalized support.

On my return to India, I set up Madhavi Desai Consulting in 1989, to address these vulnerabilities and offer students a professional, personalized, and well researched service.  Since then we have grown into a committed team of professional advisor’s and researchers and offer advice to students from all over India as well as from many parts of the globe.  In 2002 we set up a Baroda office.  We have personally advised over 18,000 students and conducted public seminars for Universities and colleges both in India and abroad.  Madhavi Desai Consulting has enabled students to successfully apply to study in America, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, France, Singapore and other academic destinations outside India.
